About Me.

Taegan Gandolfi, RD, is a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping people develop a healthier relationship with food. Her own struggles with weight and a negative relationship with food sparked her interest in nutrition. Taegan realized that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, and that diets should be tailored to fit a person's lifestyle. She strives to help individuals understand that there are no good or bad foods, only moderation.

Taegan obtained her undergraduate degree in nutrition from San Diego State University, and later pursued graduate coursework at Cornell University. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in research, and designed and piloted her own research project on Trauma-Informed Nutrition. She also completed an eleven-month dietetic internship at SNAP-ED and an 886-bed hospital, where she worked in various units such as surgical oncology, pediatric CICU, trauma burn ICU, endocrinology, eating disorders, and more.

Since becoming a registered dietitian, Taegan has worked as the lead clinical dietitian for six oncology clinics in New York, where she has worked with over 500 cancer patients. Out of those 500 unique patients, over 30% of them needed nutrition support, and over 100 of them were head-and-neck cancer. Taegan is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND), the Committee of Cancer (CoC), Oncology Dietetic Practice Group (DPG), Dietitians in Nutrition Support (DNS), and Clinical Nutrition Management DPG.

Through her work, Taegan is dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest research and providing the most accurate and effective nutrition recommendations possible. Her ultimate goal is to empower individuals to improve their health and overall well-being through personalized and sustainable nutrition strategies.

Traveling

I think traveling puts you in an unfamiliar area around different ideologies, which helps people see from other perspectives and develop new approaches to problem-solving. Here is just a few places that I have been and the photos I have taken while there.
